Staff and Student Volleyball drop-in sessions for FREE, all of the time
Did you know that UC Staff can play volleyball for free at the RecCentre? It's been a thing for a very long time now (at least 15 years), so check out the details. All levels welcome.
We've also introduced (trial basis) a third session for more experienced players, and it's a combined Staff and Student volleyball session, Friday's at 11am.. There's already a bunch of regulars, but more are welcomed. Once again, just bring your Staff ID, sign in at the reception desk and you're good to go. Same terms and conditions apply as for Staff Volleyball.
Start Me - Complimentary Learn to Gym sessions
Not sure how to get started? No problem. Simply book in with a fitness consultant for a StartMe fitness starter session (they're free) and we'll help you get underway. The consultants are there to help, so feel free to approach them and ask as many questions as you like. They love to share their knowledge and experience with you!
Would you like a little extra motivation and push at your sessions, maybe some accountability? Having a qualified instructor at your side can help you achieve your goals in a more efficient and effective way. We have options to suit your budget and flexibility. Consider a PushMe package or session with a UC RecCentre Fitness Consultant. Check it out for more details, We have limited timeslots available, and the prices are reduced to reflect that.
If you need your trainer to be available at a workout time that we can't service, or have specific rehabilitation needs perhaps, consider a contracted Personal Trainer, find their details on our Personal Trainer page. You can't bring your own PT into the RecCentre, but you can train with one of the PT's we've vetted and authorised to be here.
2017 Group Fitness Challenge - Sponsored by Bargain Box
Registrations are now open for the 2017 Group Fitness Challenge! $850 of Bargain Box vouchers are up for grabs along with $500 of other monthly prizes, exclusively for Challenge members.
The Goal: Complete 100 Group Fitness (or Small Group Training sessions) between Sat 1st April and Sun 22nd October.
To Register: Head into see on of our receptionists. Upon completion of your registration you will receive a Class Diary which you will use to collect all of your class stamps!
Remember... The earlier you sign up, the more time you have to complete the Challenge! Ready.... Set.... go!!

Courses have started on the 24th July, but there are a few spaces left in each course (except Boxing Monday and Tuesday, and Barre which are sold out). Check out all the courses here. Why not try suspension training (TRX), bootcamp or yoga play to challenge yourself, or staff yoga or meditation through yin yoga for relaxation?
