NRG

High impact, high eNeRGy old school aerobics moves set to Top40 Rock and Pop hits of today and decades gone by.  The atmosphere is electric.  If you don’t get the moves, don’t worry, there’s always the next track! Instructors choose different songs every class. We make up new stuff when we feel like it (about once a term).

What to expect from a typical NRG Class
About 10 different songs with great choreography set to each, designed to make you sweat!   You'll jump about for a few tracks, then we'll take you to the floor for some old fashioned pressups. We'll bust a move again with some more cardio tracks before finishing with some abdominal work. And there'll definitely be some cheesey moments to make you smile!
We have about 500 songs to choose from, and we aim to release new music and moves every term to keep it fresh for you.

Benefits of participating in NRG
Increase your stamina and cardiovascular fitness
Burn loads of calories
Improve co-ordination
Improve bone density
Strengthen upper body and abs

How often should you attend NRG?
We offer 2 NRG classes each week - you can do both! Balance your week out with our other GF cardio or muscle conditioning classes or try a weight training session in the gym.

Contraindications (when you shouldn't do this class)
This is a high intensity, high impact class so if you suffer from severe back or other injuries or are pregnant, this class probably isn't the best option for you. However, most moves can be low-impact if you want them to be. If you want a cardio buzz without so much impact, then try Spin, Step or Supercircuit, which are easier to modify.
